Artist Biography
I was born and raised here in sunny San Diego and as a child we spent many summer vacations at our Grandparent’s beach house on the Sea of Cortez. It was there that I fell in love with the ocean, it’s beautiful ever changing colors, the sea life below and the peace I find in it. My grandfather was a woodworker and my grandmother was an artist, I feel that the pieces I create bring out the best of both art forms.
For 22 years I had a small bookkeeping business and also ran my husband’s wood flooring office, which allowed me to be a stay at home Mom to our 2 children. In August of 2021, I was working as a Payroll Director, when my husband showed me a video on creating Ocean Resin Art and I instantly fell in love with the process. The blending and creating of colors and waves on a beautiful piece of wood, just fills my soul! My favorite wood to work with is Mediterranean Olive Wood.
